This image of a sobbing child has been an overlooked part of my 1979 double whole car “Stop the Bomb’” but it was this image which came to me in a dream coupled with the exposed headlines of those years that actually served as a catalyst for me to take action on those two subway cars. The theme - as grim and dim as it may have been - was oh so real to me growing up in the shadows of a world hinging on unhinged. Here we are in 2022 in what could be a Catch 22 scenario. Whether it be the horrifics playing out in the current hot theater in Ukraine, drought ridden areas of South Sudan, the fields of Syria, the street corners of Chicago, or in New York City, wars in their variations, manifestations and intensities only serve to bring unfathomable hurt to the innocence of a child's soul. Let us adults wake up everyday cherishing the blessed Children. In the sandbox of life let's not draw lines in the sand nor throw it in each other's eyes, let's get our heads out of it and work above it.
