Missing that feeling of being completely smashed after racing my bike. That does however bring up the decades long struggle I've had with my body image and gender dysphoria. You see, training myself back into professional athlete fitness exacerbates an issue: I don't pass as female, I get it. So while I do get to enjoy the privilege of a reasonably healthy and athletic body, I also have to manage loathing what this body looks like and being acutely aware of the very public scrutiny it endures.
