Photo highlights from my time in Baton Rouge with @visitbatonrouge 📸 I absolutely loved visiting this beautiful southern city set on the Mississippi River. Some of my favorite things I did... Photo 1 Taking a golden hour walk along The Mississippi. The walking path is easily accessible right from downtown Baton Rouge, and the sunset views are beautiful! The sculpture is called “Sing the River.” It’s reflective and interacts with the surroundings. It’s connected to sensors in the Mississippi River and plays music that corresponds with the rise and fall of the water! Photos 2-3 Trying the fresh made beignets at @coffeecall.batonrouge. I was also introduced to beignet fingers which are easier to eat and share. Photo 4 A delicious🍸 at @the.colonels.club. This restaurant and bar is absolutely gorgeous. It’s the perfect spot for an elevated brunch or stop by the very aesthetic bar to get cozy by the fireplace with a cocktail while listening to live music. Photo 5 I loved my lunch at @bldg5. Located in the trendy Overpass District, this restaurant has a gorgeous garden out back. The food is healthy, fresh and tastes great. Photo 6 Can you believe this was once a state capitol building?! This is Louisiana’s Old State Capitol that was designed after a castle. Photo 7 A flamingo drink I had during @nightmarketbtr, an annual outdoor night market festival celebrating the city’s Asian culture. Photo 8 Trying the famous pie at @elsiesplatenpie. Photos 9-10 Strolling through the LSU AgCenter Botanical Gardens.
