The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care taught first-year medical students how to obtain vital signs including blood pressure, pulse rate, respirations, as well as how to assess pupils. Students also learned basic assessment steps and became certified in the life-saving skills of @American_Heart's Basic Life Support, also known as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and @StopTheBleedProject. “From now on, these students will be introduced as medical students and future doctors by their proud friends and family. It’s our goal to ensure even after one week of medical school, when called upon, they have the basic skills and knowledge to save a life,” shared Michael Kaduce, @uclacpc Emergency Medical Technician Program Director. #UCLA #UCLAHealth #UCLACommunity #ItBeginsWithU #PowerOfU #DGSOM #DGSOMUCLA #MedicalStudent #MedicalSchool
