As I return to the US, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed by all we experienced in Black Chapel at @serpentineuk this Summer. I’ve been grappling with what it means to build a temporary chapel, an impermanent convivial and reflective space. I’m grateful for all who made the activation of this public space possible and for the moments we shared in the pavilion. Black chapel unified so many strands of my work. It’s existence made me feel more whole. Thank you, @corinnebaileyrae, for joining the Monks during this moment of spiritual release and communion under the oculus. Thank you, @mtec and @stageoneltd, for your support in carefully constructing this space for monastic possibility. I hope all who visited and all who wished to visit will continue to make space and find time for the meditative and connective opportunities. Until next time Black Chapel.
