“Is it poetry?” performance It is a part of an artist's life - to present your work and bring it to the physical world. The body of this work is poetry and text. Although words can not always translate your feelings, in this video performance I tried to amplify it with sound, the sound of my experience. The poetry I create has many layers - my native language is Russian, I write in English, the feelings are masked with the words, the words are masked with the speech, the speech is covered with the sound and the sound is distorted by technologie, all of it recorded in the video and the video is uploaded on youtube. It creates a complex cake of metaphors on metaphors, coated with references and signals to be decoded. This approach to expressing myself allows me to be vulnerable but staying in a safe space.
