Did I tell you about the time I bought a house, designed and renovated it while and after finishing my book (still working on edits), a nanny/ friend leaving our fam, raising gremlins with their own beauty and growth, being asked to leave my beloved apartment, processing a baffling break up, work, a bunch of other mess not worth mentioning, but equally ridiculous, building a team of creative WOC mothers, all the while, infusing this house with as much care as my 5’4 body could manage while the world remains a complete mess. Nah? Okay. Get ready for a bunch of @_themaehouse content. As for me? Now she must heal and rest 🌱 Big thanks @cpride for the beautiful thought-provoking questions that helped me reflect on the last 7 months of loss, full of so much gain. and @cupofjo for sharing the story of and within the house, and for the many women / sisters (and few men) who helped carry me across the threshold (and still do) so that this house can continue to sustain others, as it has me, in this time.
