Meet Govert Deketh, General Manager (GM) of @londonmarriottcountyhall. Govert has been with Marriott International since he joined the company in 1996 as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. He worked his way to becoming GM, overseeing properties including the Renaissance Manchester Hotel; Renaissance Gatwick; London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch; and Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. Reflecting on his 26-year career, Govert believes the last two decades have passed quickly for one important reason: Marriott associates.
