Today, Mr. Joseph Marie #Jacquard was born. He played an important role in the development of the earliest programmable loom. His loom is considered the direct ancestor of modern computers. In fact, the one and only Ada Lovelace, said "We may say most aptly that the Analytical Engine weaves algebraic patterns just as the Jacquard loom weaves flowers and leaves."
