As artists, we have many personalities, so I captured a few of this epic man's different personas." ~ Melonie Foster Hennesey Nothing is impossible when surrounded by beauty, peace, and true friendship. We are blessed when the impossible is possible, and friendships are long-standing and profound. After Assouline published my first coffee table book this year, I returned to my roots in Southern Africa as I do every year. But this year my alter ego reminded me of my love for colour. As the sun warmed my soul, I was reminded of my mentors from a tender age practicing the fine arts, whom had such a profound knowledge of colour, and his pallet evoked emotions that still burn inside me. 2023 will encompasses a new adventure with many surprises. Stay tuned, as something new will appear in my pallet this year. The two worlds I live in are Switzerland – cold, snowy, and very tame; and Southern Africa – very hot, with beach oasis’s, adventure filled African safaris amongst wild animals, vast bushes, forests, and deserts. I descend from the wild bush but live in a tamed and immensely structured environment. It is imperative every year to get out of my tame, structured environment to see what I need to add to my body of work.
