On Labor Day, we honor all hard-working Americans and the labor unions that support them. The tireless advocates of the labor movement fought so hard to improve the lives of working Americans. So many of the workplace benefits many people enjoy today — the 40-hour work week, two-day weekends, workplace safety protections, collective bargaining rights, and more — are because of their commitment. These victories helped shape our middle class and continue to benefit every family.
