To celebrate World Sustainability Day, for the next week we will be highlighting some of the work our fantastic clients are doing to care for and protect our environment and wildlife. Kicking off with @mashpilodge! 🍃 Hidden in one of the most biodiverse places in the world, the hotel continues to be a pioneer in rainforest conservation since the eco-lodge opened its doors 10 years ago and this year, Mashpi Lodge announced its 10th new species for science. Over the past year, a partnership with Rainforest Connection has placed ten ‘Forest Guardians’ – solar powered listening devices – around the reserve with the primary aim of detecting sounds relating to illegal deforestation and poaching. This real time data has also provided Mashpi with a trove of eco-data that can be used to track animal movement patterns and monitor endangered species
