Just a little obsessed with illustration of me from the wonderful event @theinterlawdiversityforum drawn by the ridiculously talented @scottwmason in support of @aktcharity @ejaf I remember the last time I had a sketch drawn of myself it was in Paris and I was around 13. I hated the darn thing with a passion. At the time my self esteem was low. I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror and the had put on a lot of weight after my father passed. What made it worse was we gifted the drawing to my Oma in Germany and she hung it pride of place on her living room wall - I hated everyone saw it. It’s so important to know that even if you don’t feel your best, or you think you aren’t beautiful doesn’t mean that you aren’t. It’s easier for others to see the beauty in you even if you struggle at times. Be kind to yourself - now I wish I had the other picture because it reminds me of my late Oma and all the beautiful memories I had in Germany as a kid.
