After being a big planner my whole life I’ve recently started to be a little more last-minute about things, partly out of choice, partly because motherhood sometimes necessitates it. Yesterday we were on our way to a gorgeous wedding in SB when I told Michael I didn’t know what I was wearing yet and needed to find something downtown, he looked at me confused - we would only have 30 minutes to find something and still make it to the wedding in time. I walked into the first little boutique I saw and found a dress that was 50% off and said “this will do.” And everyone loved it! So here’s a little Monday message: It’s really liberating to just see where the day goes sometimes, let go of the need for perfection, and choose the things that require careful planning and energy as well as the many things that don’t.
