The Room Where It Happens: I saw the grandeur of the Pantages Theater yesterday when I went to vote. “Hamilton” was playing there when the quarantine broke. The lobby posters have been reworked to promote voting and the poll workers gave us special Hamilton “I Voted” stickers. As I cast my vote, I thought about how “Hamilton” reclaims American history through an exuberant politics of inclusion and defiant flights of imagination.
