While a lot of new science is keeping us busy inside the @iss, important science is being conducted outside the station as well. EMIT (Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation) is an external payload from @nasajpl that flew up in @spacex Dragon’s trunk and hitched a ride on @canadianspaceagency Canadarm2 this weekend to its new home on the truss. EMIT will analyze the mineral composition of dust in the atmosphere to help scientists understand the effects of dust on the Earth’s climate and environment.
