Cruise - Soho, London (September 22) I spent the afternoon with @1jackholden and @johnpatelliott walking through Soho to the Apollo Theatre in the West End where they prepared for their show @cruisetheplay in the evening. Cruise is an original, Olivier Award nominated play, written and performed by Jack about Soho in the 80s and the AIDS crisis - it’s incredible and I’ve seen it four times. We stopped off en route at a few of the prominent establishments mentioned in Cruise like The Coach and Horses (for a non-alcoholic beer) and Admiral Duncan on our way to the stage where Jack showed me around and warmed up for another all-consuming performance. I’ve pointed a camera at Jack many times over the years, but I feel so lucky to see behind the curtain on such an important piece of theatre and of Jack’s career so far.
