A day with the mobile medical unit in Reynosa, Mexico: In an area we visit, many of the hundreds of people there live in makeshift shelters, waiting and stranded due to Title 42. This xenophobic policy disguised as public health protection has been used to authorize expulsions from the US to either border cities in Mexico or countries of origin. In Mexico, for people seeking safety there’s limited access to basic services and there are constant threats to violence.
