my Round 2 clip from @fts_shufflers 🐉💕Sooooo, I went back & forth on whether or not I wanted to address this, but fk it— I’m curious! 🧠 I know there was ALOT of debate/questioning on how this competition was judged, I definitely thought it was strange to have one person judge one category throughout the competition— (you can VERY easily see who consistently gave people lower scores vs people who gave higher scores) but then again, I genuinely know little-to-nothing about battling (and am STOKED to witness my first in-person battles in August) + am eager to learn more to better myself for next year! But there’s two things about this round that keep bugging me... MOSTLY because trance is my fkn genre... and I’m just like... 1. HOW does this video get a 4/10 for musicality when my Round 1 video got a 6/10? Is this a sliding scale in comparison to the other contestants? I guess I’m just wondering the judgement process @leftynueve — feel free to answer publicly or in a message, idk I’m actually just curious how this is a lesser score— when I’m my eyes, my musicality was the strongest factor I had going for me in this clip... how could I have improved? 2. I also got a lower score in Creativity in this Round (5/10) @donivanharding but, I know your judgement process tho— I’m just wondering if the element of trying to mirror/copy moves from your opponent was forgotten because I knew my opponent is a fantastic bboy (who hands down won this round) but & that’s the entire reason I added in the last 8 count of this Round... and because I know you were judging everyone on a scale— not by their opponent, maybe that factor was forgotten? + cmon, I feel like that hat trick was pretty creative 🤷🏽‍♀️ same thing, you can either message me or comment, I really just wanna know. I took my Round 1 clip in literally ONE take, and spent HOURS on this one... so my take-away without asking these questions is to NOT think too much into it? But then I’m not learning anything...
