the diet that once healed me and helped my relationship with food eventually stopped working the last year of being fully plant-based was rough...brain fog, bloating, hormone imbalances, acne, even my face looked sick. i saw multiple professionals, and they all said the same thing: add back animal products. as much as i resisted, i reintroduced fish in 2021. then eggs, high-quality dairy. in 2024, finally added meat. i’ve never felt better. my body reflects that. people always ask, how was the transition? honestly, easy. fish and meat felt great! no issues. dairy is trickier. I stick to high-quality or A2, but mainly consume things like almond milk, coconut milk, etc. i still eat mostly plants and believe in their healing power. but our bodies change!! i started gaining weight in my lower belly, had heavy, painful periods, acne, fatigue, insulin resistance, and more. i didn’t want to believe that more animal protein, especially starting my day with it, would help. but it did. don’t be afraid to pivot. your body knows ❤️ what healed you once might not be what heals you now. tune in, be honest, and let go of the labels
