This is the first spring in many years where it truly feels like it, thanks to leaving the subtropics behind a couple of months ago for a cooler climate. Watching bare branches turn into this image, for example, cannot help but leave me gratefully in awe. It is also a powerful reminder that while things can sometimes feel dormant, they never truly are. There is always growth and delight being prepared out of view.
