Follow @dearsundaymotherhood for pregnancy, postpartum, and new motherhood writing, support, and education. — Pregnancy marks the beginning of one of the biggest transformations of your life. And while a pregnancy brings joy and excitement, it also usually comes with a broad range of emotions: 🤍fear 🤍anxiousness 🤍doubt 🤍discomfort 🤍unease And guess what? That’s *normal* — but often, pregnancy is met with all joy. It’s important to hold space for the many different emotions we can feel. Feel like your emotions seem more intense or are getting in the way of your day-to-day? It’s important to recognize that while one in five to seven women get a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD) such as postpartum anxiety or postpartum depression (the most common complication of childbirth, BTW), PMADs can start (and be treated!) in pregnancy. Tell me in the comments: What types of emotions did you feel throughout pregnancy? Did they surprise you? #prenatalwellness #postnatalwellness #postpartumhealth #MegaFoodPrenatalPanel, #RealAsAMother, #PrenatalExperts, #MegaFoodRealTalk #MegaFoodPartner #MegaFood
