In 1929, Flavio Poli (1900-1984) worked for the company "I.V.A.M." (Industrie Vetraie Artistiche Murano) as a glassware designer. He was appointed artistic director of Barovier, Seguso & Ferro (later Seguso Vetri d'Arte) in 1934, where he designed a style of "submerged" glass, with several transparent layers on top of each other. After three years, he became a partner in the company which he then left in 1963. Detail from a very large Murano Flavio Poli For Seguso Sommerso Aubergine Fin Lamp, 1950's. https://www.epocasf.com/node/11751/ #murano #artglass #muranoglass #lighting #lamp #tablelamp #muranolamp #flaviopoli #seguso #segusoglass #italianglass #midcentury #modern #midcenturymodern #1950s #fifties #modernism #luxury #interiordesign #artandantiques #sanfrancisco #epoca #sommerso #hollywoodregency #regencemoderne #1950s #fiftiesstyle
