Tuve la oportunidad de presentar mi "Pavana en la menor" en el David Friend Recital Hall de mi escuela, Berklee College of Music, el día de ayer y fue una experiencia muy satisfactoria. Tanto el piano como el recinto son increíbles y la calidad del audio que recibí junto con este video resaltan las sutilezas y detalles de esta composición original mía. Esta pieza es el segundo movimiento de mi primera suite para piano. También es una obra inspirada en la pavana de Ravel y en la de Fauré, quien fue su maestro por un periodo de su vida. El concepto de darle un nuevo significado a estilo de danza antigua me resultó sumamente fascinante y algo con lo que quería jugar un poco, jugando entre texturas y colores muy diferentes entre sí pero todos muy delicados. - I had the opportunity to perform my "Pavane in A Minor" at the David Friend Recital Hall at my school, Berklee College of Music, yesterday and it was a very satisfying experience. Both the piano and the venue are amazing and the quality of the audio I received along with this video highlight the subtleties and details of this original composition of mine. This piece is the second movement of my first piano suite. It is also a work inspired by Ravel's and Fauré's pavane, who was his teacher for a period of his life. The concept of giving a new meaning to an ancient dance style was extremely fascinating to me and something I wanted to play with a bit, playing between textures and colors that are very different from each other but all very delicate.
