when to expect snow at the cabin!! ❄️ Our most asked question is "when should I book the cabin for snow?" (and, sometimes "I don't like snow, when should I come in the spring?" 😜) These are snowfall averages for: ❄️ Murphys: 10 miles from the cabin at ~2,000 elevation ❄️ Arnold: where we're located! ~3,999 elevation ❄️ Bear Valley Ski Resort: 25 miles up the mountain from the cabin at ~7,750 elevation We love the location of our cabin at 4,000 feet since we believe it's the best of both worlds. We get some snow and are a quick drive from the ski resort which can get over 70" inches in a month 😱, but Murphys is nearby down the hill at a lower elevation if you ever need a break from winter weather. We provide guests with sleds for snow play areas, and of course, our cedar hot tub is PERFECT to soak in on winter days.
