2022 has been a bit of a rough year with many ups and downs and a lot of introspection. As with anything, careers evolve and focus changes. In an increasingly saturated market where everyone seems to followed by someone with a camera, it can be a struggle to judge your value. I tried this year to boil down my imagery to the essentials...Can I tell a story about someone in one image? I spent way too many hours deep into the night tearing my work and soul apart figuring what resonated and what missed the mark. I know I want to focus more on connecting with individual athletes and their journey. I also will get back to being a photographer-athlete(pic 10) as opposed to being an athlete photographer. Returning to run Hardrock in 2023 has re-lit that fire in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. And that’s carried over to rock climbing again and now learning ice climbing. But first, in a couple of weeks will be a dream trip to document an expedition on Baffin Island which will include Natgeo climate studies. 2023 will be a wild ride, and I wish you all the best in going after your dreams and passions. #run #runner #running #ultrarunner #ultrarunning #trailrunner #trailrunning
