It’s Christmas come early for me in Finland! I’ve been DYING to get my hands on one of these #ThePeriscope mics ever since I mixed ‘One and the Same’ for @nhcmusicofficial tracked by the incredible @sylvia_massy. I believe the recording process was tied into a promo for @antelope_audio where they put up 40+ drum mics on #taylorhawkins kit in @eastweststudios just to put the #galaxy64 through it’s paces. Of course that’s too many but I’ll be damned if they didn’t all show up in the PT session so I took the opportunity to dig through layers of unusual mic configurations and one little blown-out track was carrying HUGE mojo titled ‘periscope’ which definitely made its way into the final mix. Quick internet search revealed this secret weapon from Finland’s #scopelabs!
