DEPLETED. [Film Update] This 8000ft film has been the most physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausting experience I’ve been through. I apologize for the delays on this project. (This picture shows the day of physical exhaustion but this has been me many times emotionally and mentally putting this film together.) One of my favorite sayings is “It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it.” My hope is that this film isn’t just watching someone ride their bike... it’s more. It’s about my life and why I care to put this much energy into something for other people. Selfishly, I would rather just ride and not share these things but I’ve learned from brutal experience that I would rather go down trying to encourage and share good things with people before it’s too late. In 2016 I received a call that my cousin Cody took his life. The day he did it I was with his brother Cole. I had the thought that I should of reached out that night. I deeply regret it. Now I find myself fueled by this experience to not hold back. This film is about the mental component of climbing a mountain and my process. My hope is that people will watch this film and walk away feeling better about themselves. Will it do that? We’ll see. 🤞🏻 This film is a collaboration effort from my amazing wife Nicole(Director/editor), endurance coach Greg Montgomery, my mental strength coach Dr. Manning, mentor and friend Kyle Mears, amazingly talented writer Kim Cross, to my buddy Tory Powers for coming and shooting the day (and more.) I’m also, excited to announce we’ll be doing 5 premieres (Moab, Carlsbad, Boise, Colorado Springs, and Portland) starting in Moab on Saturday night, Oct 1st. The film will drop globally for free in November. More details coming soon. Massive love and appreciation for all the people who have genuinely shared their excitement for the project. Thank you all so much. 🙏🏻❤️ #8600ftfilm
