One of the best things I ever did with my 8 year daughter Eve was take her as my official date for the magnificent closing party at @afest . For two hours from 10pm to midnight we roamed the palatial villa in Jordan in which the party was taking place and Eve got to experience my life from a difference lens. We greeted the amazing guests that attended in lavish costumes, posed for pics; and then Eve got to be one of the judges in the annual @Mindvalley speaker dance-off alongside among celebrity judges. I wanted her to know how important and loved she was. After this Eve seemed to have a different level of confidence. She started sending me sassy WhatsApp messages. She voiced her thoughts and opinions more assertively and then she did something hilarious.... Eve went to my cousin @marishalakhiani who is MINDVALLEY’S VP of marketing and tried to poach her from me to join Eves new company. “Why don’t we start a business together. But you have to quit you job.” Eve told Marisha. “What type of business?” Asked Marisha. “A Star Wars business” “Tell me more.” “We will buy Star Wars action figures and sell them online. At 400% markup.” “Omg i love the idea shall I quit?” “Yes quit tomorrow” commanded Eve. “Does Vishen know” “It doesn’t matter.” Eve replied with poise. Great. Now I made my daughter so confident I have to have her sign a non-poaching agreement so she doesn’t try to steal my team members. I might also need to teach her a thing or two about licensing rights cos she’s going to get her ass sued by Disney. 😅 #prouddad
