Anni’s basketry is a one-person operation and done 100% by hand, including the slow and satisfying process of harvesting and tending patches of wild willow populations for her materials — coppicing, replanting, and studying them as incredible sources of flood mitigation, carbon sequestration, and food and habitat for hundreds of other beings as a keystone native species. Every stick in her baskets is hand harvested, cured for over 6 months, resoaked, mellowed, and woven into the magical finished creations you see on her feed. A true traditional slow craft!
