Navot Miller’s “5 Boys in Ibiza”, 2022 ☀️💗🏝 For Miller, travel is an incredibly important source of inspiration for his painting practice. Taking in new sights, hearing unknown tongues, and forming fast friendships with people who were strangers just a few moments before: these are the adventures that fill the artist’s vibrant canvases. As its title would suggest, “5 Boys in Ibiza” depicts a group of young men atop a beachside cliff on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Visible only from behind, the identities of the figures remain unknown. With their richly blended and contoured bodies, they stand out against the deliberate flatness of their surroundings. The viewer is drawn to the sight of these vacationers as if they themselves were just passing through, absorbing the colorful sights and sounds of a land unknown 🇪🇸👙
