Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful, wonderful mother. She has taught me so many things, too many to list here. But one that comes to mind: an intense empathy for other people, no matter what walk of life they might come from and what their beliefs or thoughts may be. She's an Arkansas girl through and through, so she met all sorts of people from all sorts of different backgrounds as we traveled the world when I was growing up. In the mountains of Pakistan or the cities of Thailand, she just has a real gift in understanding the mind behind the actions of those around her. And she uses that skill to just be more loving and understanding and supportive to them. I've tried to emulate that quality my whole life, and it's a huge contributor to my path in being a storyteller. Love you, mom! #mothersday
