Did you know I’m trained in Jiu Jitsu?🤗 I began my journey by taking a personal defense class, however my love for training quickly led me to trying Jiu Jitsu! It’s interesting, I always seemed to think that getting involved in martial arts was something I could never do. I had assumptions that everyone involved had grown up training, that a smaller female like myself wouldn’t be able to measure up, and I was just extremely intimidated. What I have discovered over my years of training is that martial arts really can be for everyone! The entire community is so accepting and encouraging of your growth and participation. I can not thank the people I have met through training or all the coaches I have had enough for taking their time to work with me and accept me into this community that I love so much🙏 I have been so lucky to also have several women who train that I look up and that representation is growing!
