She is more than a house to us. When we moved into this humble, 1300sq/ft, shotgun style home in 2009 we had no kids, no restaurants, just 2 dogs and each other. The house needed a TON of work and so of course, fatefully, we found out we were pregnant with Alba the week before we moved in. The timeline to get it livable and kid friendly was set. We did a lot of the work ourselves - cue memory of [attempting] to tile the backsplash 8 1/2 months pregnant (tough reach 🤣). But it was the equity that we built in this house that allowed us to get an SBA loan to open Kindred. We risked it all, the house, everything, to start our business so this house will forever mean so much to us. Well since we couldn’t bear to sell it, today we are leaving it in the best possible hands. Thanks to help from some of the greater @kindredrestaurant Fam, my best friend, and GM of Kindred, @tammywinchester17 is moved in and will now call her home. Welcome home, Tam. 🤍
