Hello! Seems like might be a good time for an introduction. I am Amy Webb, also known as Miggy from my blog, This Little Miggy Stayed Home. I’m an art school graduate, turned stay at home mom, turned blogger, turned disability advocate, turned children’s book author. I’m married to a handsome devil who is the absolute best (snake highlight), when he’s not being the worst (tree highlight.) I used to want all sons, and therefore I don’t think I’ll ever get over the fact that I am the mother to three daughters. (!!!) They are my jackpot in life. Many people have come to my blog and this platform over the years because of my middle daughter, who is disabled. I share a lot about what I’ve learned about disability from her and our family’s personal experience, and from interviews I’ve conducted and more. Always striving, never arriving. If I could give parents of disabled children a piece of advice, it would be listen to, and learn from disabled adults and TRUST YOUR GUT. You know more than you think. I’m the author of two children’s books, When Charley Met Emma and Awesomely Emma, that center on disability awareness, inclusion, access and more. I love movies, music, books, art, design and in the sliding doors version of my life I move to New York City in my 20’s and become a comedian. I’m either dead serious or deadpan ridiculous. We built our accessible dream home 3 years ago and I can’t wait to show you more. (Soon! I promise) I’m happiest when I’m creating and/or dancing. Random Fun Fact: I once met and shook hands with Ryan Gosling. Nice guy. (My husband had no idea who he was.) Your turn! Tell me a little bit about yourself and why you’re here. Please include a random fun fact.👇🏻
