New York’s Museum of Sex is heading down south. The racy New York institution exploring the fabric of human sexuality has revealed today that it will open a second location in Miami, in the spring of 2023. Since it opened in 2002, the museum has mounted crowd-pleasing exhibitions ranging from an inflatable “bouncing boobs” house to a showcase exploring the sex lives of animals. Inaugurating the Miami location will be the first solo museum exhibition in the US by Hajime Soroyama, a Japanese illustrator who reached cult status in 1990s for his erotic visions of cyborgian figures known as “Sexy Robots” (he also executed the first designs for Sony’s famous Aibo robotic dog).
