💫 SAVE THE DATE! I am presenting my first West Coast SOLO SHOW in Los Angeles, October 6-9! INFO: https://www.sophiegamand.com/LAexhibit The show is called THE INVISIBLE WOUNDS OF FRIENDSHIP, and it explores themes of consent and agency in the dog-human bond. We claim dogs are our best friends, but are we really acting like theirs? I am always fascinated in what this friendship reveals about our own humanity. ✨ It will be held at @nakedeyestudiorental (1443 W. Jefferson Blvd., Los Angeles CA, 90007), which is such a gorgeous space I have to pinch myself! 🐶 I will share more details soon, but I can already announce that on Saturday October 8, I will host a dog adoption event + reception with the @annenbergpetspace (5-7PM). ✨ The exhibit will have some classics like #PitBullFlowerPower (a great opportunity to see them printed large!), as well as new photographs and artworks (cyanotypes, embroideries, video installations, paintings, a virtual reality experience...). ✨ There will also be a small shop where you can get your paws on signed books and 2023 calendars, small prints, pins, bags, etc...
