Fly me to Europa 🌟 Next week, the Juno mission is set to perform a quick, close flyby of Jupiter’s icy moon Europa. The intriguing moon, which scientists think contains a salty ocean below a miles-thick ice shell, is about 90% the size of Earth's Moon. The spacecraft will come within 222 miles (358 km) of Europa’s surface to obtain images as well as collect data on the moon’s interior, surface composition, ionosphere, and Jupiter’s magnetosphere.
