The tub in @tmagazine in “The Tomorrow Suite” at @hotelulysses in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, designed by me for @ashnyc.
A nod to Todd Tomorrow, an alliterative character created by John Waters, played by heartthrob Tab Hunter in “Polyester” from 1981, the suite envelops you in a sea of yellow hues, replete with a custom tub in pale yellow by @penhaglion and our Ash x @wtrwrks Highgate fittings collab in Citron.
The hand-painted tile murals were produced in Portugal from original artwork done in-house and inspired by the frescoes from the “Baby Taj” aka the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah that I witnessed with my very own eyes in Agra, India. The Baby Taj is thought of as a “rough draft” of the actual Taj Mahal, just down the road in Agra.
The furniture is all antique, purchased on various trips around the globe and brought right back here to Baltimore to live life anew dressed in our custom woven tapestry upholstery fabrics made in America.
