ONE MORE RACE THIS SEASON: My racing season has been alright, not great, I wish it was better. I know I am focusing a lot of my energy into other aspects of my life, but that is where I am at right now in life and I am very happy and proud to be, even if it takes away a bit from my racing, I am okay with the sacrifice. That being said, I am still very excited to race and run fast, I want to improve in the marathon and I want to finally run a marathon I can be proud of. I am racing the Indy Monumental marathon in 5 weeks, I have run 1:03:30 there for the half, so I know it is a fast course with good weather. I am not trying to run a national record, just a smart, progressive race that I can be proud of. If I run a PB I will be very happy, but most important for me this time will be to run smart and not focus so much in the end result. Sé que estoy gastando energía en otros aspectos de mi vida, pero ahí es donde estoy en este momento, y estoy muy feliz y orgulloso de estarlo, incluso si me resta en mis carreras, estoy de acuerdo con el sacrificio. Dicho esto, todavía estoy muy emocionado de competir y correr rápido, quiero mejorar en el maratón y finalmente quiero correr una maratón de la que pueda estar orgulloso. Voy a correr el maratón de Indy Monumental en 5 semanas, he corrido 1:03:30 en la media, así que sé que es una ruta rápida con buen clima. No estoy tratando de correr un récord nacional, solo una carrera inteligente y progresiva de la que pueda estar orgulloso. Si corro un PB, estaré muy feliz, pero lo más importante para mí esta vez será ejecutar de forma inteligente y no concentrarme tanto en el resultado final.
