Scanned a couple of spreads from the 1999 Kerouac 'Hair Book', compiling previously published images (+ numerous unseen ones) from the magazines monthly 'Hair Wars' series, which provided both the initial inspiration, and name, for my own recently posted set of hair pics. The book is incredibly thorough in documenting the various subcultural styles that emerged from Tokyo at the end of the 20th century, featuring photos of over 700 (!) different cuts (so maybe if I continue shooting for the next 20 years I might eventually get there..!)
