Checking in with senior pig Curly this morning ✨ Curly has been examined by the vet recently to check on her lymph nodes. It’s no surprise that at 11 years old she’s experiencing some health challenges—and as a sanctuary we meet those challenges with her and make sure she has the best care. 11 is old for a pig of her breed and size, and most people never meet a pig of Curly’s breed who’s allowed to grow this old! Vet visits in the rear view for the moment, Curly is focused on grazing this morning, while her buddy Amelia sits in the background enjoying the cool earth and the dew. Not a bad way to greet the day.
