WHY your Wing Liner attempts keep failing: 1. Your product of choice isn’t the one... Whether you’re doing liner on yourself or as an artist on another face, your product is key. It needs to be hydrated but not so wet that it runs (some pens can do this and it’s a punish!). Cream liners are great as they glide but be careful yours isn’t too dry or has dried out. Always keep a lid on it and if your brush is dragging, it’s time for a new one. I like creams on other faces but when working on myself it can get too stuck in my lashes and ruins my mascara game so I prefer a pen, not a liquid, as again it gets all through my lashes. 2. Your brush looks like your dog has chewed on it (if using a liquid or cream). Angle brushes are my preference for a liner when working on a face and the bristles need to be as flat as a tack to create sharp, clean lines. One random hair sticking out can ruin your entire wing which may result in a nervous breakdown 🥴 3. Crepey Lid Syndrome. And it’s not an age thing. People’s eyes can have a crepey texture at any age. The lids almost move when trying to do liner resulting in many bumps in the road. In this instance, smoking the liner out is the best solution and I do love this look as it’s a slightly softer version. 4. You’re doing your liner with your eye closed. Whether it’s on yourself or another, when applying your wings, the eye needs to be looking straight ahead. When the eye is shut versus when it opens - things move and your liner may look perfect eyes closed but once they open it’s all changed and disconnected. We want the liner to look great open, not just when you’re sleeping 😴 😅 My top liner brush is the @zoevacosmetics 317 Wing Liner Brush. I also love the @kryolanaustralia Gel Liners.
