X Marks the Spot (excuse the pun) has always been my method for covering blemishes on the skin with a natural finish.
Products Used in the Video
@ellaandjocosmetics Squeaky Clean - this is a skin ESSENTIAL for brush hygiene and skin health. If you want rid of those blemishes don't apply your makeup with a dirty makeup brush. There's more bacteria on it than a toilet seat 🤢
Using a full coverage matte finish concealer is best for blemishes. Anything that is too dewy or glowy is only going to emphasis the texture of the spot. Try and find a mineral formula like this one from @sculptedbyaimee
X Marks the Spot - draw an X over the spot, gently tap around the spot and then press your brush over the spig directly for adequate coverage. If you have a cluster of blemishes just press your brush over the cluster and only use a patting style technique with all brushes or applicators.
Apply using a small flat headed brush like this @blankcanvascosmetics E89 which will allow you to be detailed and not over apply too much product
Set the concealer with powder. Again mineral is best if you can get it. This one by @charlottetilbury isn't mineral but it's lightweight and has skin loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid & vitamin c. The brush I've used is a @blankcanvascosmetics E90.
Hydrate the skin with @ellaandjocosmetics 3in1 hyaluronic skin mist. Dehydration of the skin can cause breakouts as the skin tries to produce more oil, keep spritzing the skin throughout the day with a hydrating mist to hydrate your skin after using mattifying products and to keep your skin cells bouncy!
