Black History Lesson.. #supportblackbusiness PROPERLY! PAY for our services... & TAG us too! Why do black creative entrepreneurs ESP working in the entertainment industry get the short end of the stick? Why don’t y’all respect us like you do high end brands? If we were Dior, Bottega, Baccarat, Tesla, a BBL or a lip filler we would be PAID in FULL as well as properly promoted and praised!! But as a “black artist” we always get the expectation that we “need” the opportunity so we get treated like complete shit. Constantly being overlooked for opportunities with our own people, having to constantly walk on eggshells once receiving the opportunity bc the team is just waiting for you to fumble, always having to wait for money or teams taking advantage of that net30 ohhh and my favorite... never receiving proper credit for our work!! One last thing I’m going to blast my ppl about is IF I bring you into an opportunity that I created and you make it seem like it was ALL you and don’t tag me but tag the artist I will NEVER speak to you again!!! I see a lot of you designers/brands doing this & it’s NOT ok. IDK why this is something our ppl can’t quite grasp! It is also something we never fully talk about... but it’s REAL AF! The Jewish community spends ONE dollar 7 times before it even leaves the household. The Mexican community will come together, live in one house and pile in one car to get to work everyday only to make less than minimum wage.. Why can’t we support our OWN as other communities do?
