Friday Treat Time and a stunning embroidered coat by the #HouseOfWorth. Dating to 1899, this elegant full length coat features an upstanding collar faced with exquisite cream lace, and the most beautiful scrolling floral design worked in satin stitch and tiny appliquéd circles of fabric. The coat was designed by Jean-Philippe Worth and worn by Mary Curzon, an American heiress who married George Nathaniel Curzon shortly before he was made Viceroy of India in 1898. Mary travelled to India with Curzon, and wrote regularly to her mother and sisters in America requesting them to place orders with Worth on her behalf when they were in Paris 🇫🇷
