READ THIS! In John 8 the Pharisees bring a woman accused of adultery to Jesus asking him whether, based on Moses’ law, it was right to kill her. We know Jesus invites whoever has no sin (i.e. NOBODY) to throw the first rock. But then, Jesus writes something on the ground. Scripture doesn’t say what He wrote so perhaps it teaches more than one lesson. The lesson it teaches me is this. The finger of God wrote for us only one other time in scripture: God’s law in stone tablets. Jesus came to fulfill the law through a new command.
