Spork. A story of a young #intersex 6th grader. After being bullied on the bus she notices a poster for the school dance off. Encouraged by her confidant booty poppin African American friend Tootsie Roll to join while getting advice from her #nonbinary Asian American friend Chunk, she aims for the light. All the while bullied by the Caucasian blonde bratty Betsy Beyotch yet comforted by her crush, effeminate Caucasian Charlie. Raised by her brother Spit with no parents, Spork learns the most valuable lesson: The words that are spoken at the end of the film “I used to dream to be somebody else. Anyone else then what I was. And somehow I got it. I finally figured out how to be somebody I never really got to be in my whole life... Myself.” All via the scope of dark humor angled towards a social commentary. I created a story around #genderconformity issues with youth cause I feel the authenticity of ones (truth) is crucial to other behavioral issues. Things like trust, respect, kindness, sincerity & authentic empathy. All a “by product” of 1st learning to be in touch with your actual self. It took years to get my film made & even then was an “extreme” uphill battle juggling personal tragedy with being the writer / director & creative center over all. My vision is specific yet my being is humble which... can make for easy prey regarding surrounding Alphas. The same is true for me even today. Alas... as I’ve stated then in my film I state it now: Stay you. Always. Even in the face of cruelty & let down if even from those you’ve cared for. Making such a message far harder to do then to say. But that’s the difference between real love... and projected love. I based the film on my own experiences growing up. 5th grade, I was only welcomed in lunch by the LiL’black girls, 1st kiss was Tootsie Roll. My step father was Spit, Sporks brother. Buster was my actual dog. Betsy is the boy that bullied me in 6th grade. I was a B’boy dealing with sexual identity issues all the while. And so on... #SporkTheMovie #JBGhumanJr #gendernow #sporkmovie #genderequality #humanity 🗣🌠 🖖🏽🌠 didn’t tag any1 given therez too many & don’t want to offend those left out.💞luv 2 my cast/crew
