South LA takes over the Getty! Thanks to the incredible S.H.I.N.E. Muwasi, we invited the community to appreciate and enrich themselves in African art, music, and dance at the Getty Center this weekend. This summer, the Getty Center celebrated its 25th anniversary in ten neighborhoods throughout the county, including Crenshaw, Watts, and Inglewood. As an end to summer festivities, LA Commons brought art, photography, music, dance, and African culture to the Getty 25 Family Festival. We are excited to continue expanding the reach of South LA creatives and reclaim space across the city!
