What is Bottom watering ? 👇🏼 Bottom watering is sometimes called reverse watering. This is when you place a plant in a bowl of water, allowing the soil and roots to soak water from the bottom up. (Your plant does need to be in a pot with drainage though) Some benefits include : - preventing fungus gnats -easier for roots to access - encourages root development - can be done regularly But if you forget about your plants you let bottom water and they just soak for a prolonged amount of time... they will get ruined and become root rot 😅 I do this method when I have free time and can enjoy my plants 😌 The only thing I don’t love is that it is time consuming and each plant I like to let soak for 20-30 mins at MOST an hour.
